Hi everyone! We just recently got back from our first trip as a family of three to San Juan Puerto Rico! It was definitely a learning experience traveling with a 5-month-old baby so I wanted to share some of the things that we found super helpful on our trip. It can be super intimidating traveling with a baby but it doesn’t have to be! I hope I can show you all that just because you have a child doesn’t mean you have to stop living your life and seeing the world! Having a baby and hopping on a flight makes the trip even more special, trust me!
First and foremost you need a good stroller that’s easy and compact! Sure you can always bring whatever stroller you already have, but if you don’t wanna risk ruining yours I highly recommend getting this one! It’s super easy to travel with and turns from a car seat to a stroller with just the click of a button! This was sooo helpful when we were traveling in and out of ubers and cars. If you’re traveling to a destination where you’re unsure of where you can get the necessities then I would recommend bringing your own. At 5-months-old we are still using baby water for our sons bottles so I grabbed these off of amazon and packed them with us. You can bring them through TSA and it’s helpful that they are smaller and say “baby water” right on them for security to know what’s in them. Click here to purchase.
Having a little tent for the beach and poolside was perfect. Baby got to nap in it and stay shaded from the sun! I picked this one up off of Amazon and it was a hit. Click here to purchase.
I highly suggest bringing a baby carrier so that you can wear baby through the airport security and when you want to be hands free on any other adventures during your trip. Click here to purchase the one we have. I love this one!! It’s super comfortable.
Obviously baby needs a sun hat! I found this one that we loved and is SUCH a good price. I decided to go with the white so it attracts less sun, but it comes in a ton of different colors. Click here to purchase.

Lastly, and something that made my life very easy was this formula dispenser. I kept this in my diaper bag at all times and it was super easy to just pull out and dump the formula into his bottles.
